Students visited Brit Haskins at Parisian Corner to get an update on her new business launch and discussed branding, return-on-investment and work/life balance. Joe Elam talked with the class about starting and eventually selling Boulder Creek Landscape. Student take-aways included blue sky value, bidding work, quality of work for long term success and the confidence needed to start. Finally, James Aarsted, owner of Eagle Eye Photography, discussed adjusting a business model for higher profitability, snow ball effect in business, marketing through YouTube and the need for a market analysis before starting a business. The annual prospective student day was held at Radio-Active Mobile Electronics with great attendance. Thanks to Doug Selle for showing future students what a business visit is like!
