Two alumni connected with the class and shared how they've continued to operate the business they had in the class. Mitch Helmbrecht operates Mitch's Mow & Snow and discussed referrals, insurance, motivation and the billing software Jobber. Connor Jarland operates Mr. Flip Gadgets and discussed adding value at a low cost, branding, selling on Amazon and product close-out. Fritz Budig with Grindstone Construction hosted the class and shared insight on finding a niche, follow-up, balancing your income and writing a business plan. Finally, students spent a morning in Delano and visited Mark Foster (Foster Bros. Marine), Shawn Lynch (All Seasons Sports) and Linda Gendron (The Book Nook). Take-aways included marketing objectives, equity buying groups, being passionate about the business, limited growth, supply chain, having a thick skin and industry connections. Thank you to all for helping educate our future entrepreneurs!
