Damon Kocina, owner of Strategic Graphics, met with the class and gave insight from his 25 years in marketing. Topics included: understanding your customer, BATNA, defining product cost, customer participation=marketing, documenting your leads, "could vs. can" and multiple equivalent simultaneous offers. The students also visited Countryside Diesel to meet with Darren & Megan Fischer and learn about their business. Student take-aways included finding the first customer, multiple financing sources, word-of-mouth marketing, work comp. and projected financials. Megan's advice to the students: "Follow your gut!"
