Chris Reeve; Cutting Edge Cabinets
Ralph Pribyl; Diverse Global Sourcing

Chris Reeve and Chuck Genereux, owners of Cutting Edge Cabinets in Maple Lake, hosted the CEO class and talked about the custom cabinet industry. They encouraged the class to watch their efficiency when starting a business and realize that ontime delivery is always important. They encouraged students to look at all aspects of a business when they want to expand rather than finding a different business. Finally, they told students that you can’t ever hold a grudge in a partnership, “One day you’ll do more and the next day you’re partner will do more. It’s just how it works.”

Ralph Pribyl told the students that he “used the tools in his toolbox” when he began making snowmobile parts for Arctic Cat almost 30 years ago. Ralph told the students that many times life is about being at the right place at the right time, but cautioned them to not go too far out on a limb when starting a business. Students thoroughly enjoyed seeing a few products Ralph has helped bring to market and hearing the stories behind them.

    Get Involved in CEO

The manner in which the CEO program is funded is critical to its success and sustainability. All funds raised are used exclusively for the Wright Tech CEO program. To participate, a 3-year $1000 per year commitment is required. Business Partner Investors commitments of time and energy are also critical to the program's success. Contributions may be tax deductible, as our organization is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization.

When we are not touring local businesses, we need a place to host the class. During that time, the 15 CEO students and their Facilitator would meet at your site where they would also have guest speakers and guests from the community attend. Hosting requires a facility with internet access and adequately accommodates up to 20 people.

We are looking for people to share real-life stories about the concepts of running a business, from strategic thinking, product development to marketing, and cash flow management. Also, sharing your personal successes and failures are what recent classes have enjoyed the most.
