Kelly Klatt worked in a portrait studio and even spent time developing film before starting Photography by Kelly Klatt. Kelly talked to the CEO class about overcoming her fear of starting a business, competing in a highly saturated market and carving out a niche with a high end experience that warrants a premium price. Kelly gave advice to the class on Social Media Marketing, choosing a business location and naming your business when just starting out.

CEO Alumni from the 2016 class and the 2017 class stopped by to share their experiences with the current class. The development of their people skills (specifically the ability to talk to adults) was continually mentioned as one of the major benefits of the CEO experience.

Charles Thayer advised students to stay ahead of the curve with technology in their business and to keep pushing in tough times. He mentioned that one major things he has learned over the years is to be direct with customers and simply ask what it will take to earn their business today. He asked the students to remember three main points: 1. Ask for what you want; 2. Don’t doubt yourself; 3. Develop relationships and don’t take them for granted.

When we are not touring local businesses, we need a place to host the class. During that time, the 0 CEO students and their Facilitator would meet at your site where they would also have guest speakers and guests from the community attend. Hosting requires a facility with internet access and adequately accommodates up to 5 people.

We are looking for people to share real-life stories about the concepts of running a business, from strategic thinking, product development to marketing, and cash flow management. Also, sharing your personal successes and failures are what recent classes have enjoyed the most.
